Wieuca Animal Clinic offers a warm and inviting atmosphere combined with a staff dedicated to the compassionate care of animals and their owners.

At Wieuca Animal Clinic, we strive to make you and your pet's visit with us as stress free as possible.  We are now operating primarily on appointments, but will take drop offs, schedule an appointment with a doctor at discharge time.  The other services that need appointments are surgeries, boarding, and baths. At this time we do not have separate waiting areas for cats and dogs so, for the safety of your pet and others around you we do require that pets be placed on a leash or in a carrier before entering the waiting room.

Examination Rooms
Our three exam rooms provide a quiet and private area where your pet can be thoroughly examined from head-to-tail.  Our veterinary technicians will greet you in the examination room, take your pet's vital signs, obtain pertinent history, and will obtain specimens for annual health screenings. The doctor will then review the information and perform the necessary examinations on your pet. It's during this time that you should discuss any issues that you have concerning your pet whether it be health related, behavioral, or you're unsure what category it falls under.
 
Laboratory
In our on-site laboratory, we are able to collect specimens such as blood, urine and feces for rapid analysis of the patient's potential health problem with the assistance of technologically advanced equipment.  During emergency situations our on-site lab can provide crucial and timely diagnostic test results.  Should further testing be required, we are equipped to send specimens to outside laboratories for additional advanced testing.
 
Pharmacy
Our pharmacy is fully equipped to supply all of the medications commonly dispensed to our patients.  We also carry the two major brands of flea/tick preventative (fADVANTAGE AND FRONTLINE) and four major brands of heartworm preventative (HEARTGARD, INTERCEPTOR, SENTINAL, AND REVOLUTION). We work very closely with a local apothecary to custom compound medications when situations warrant. For convenience to our clients we do offer in-home delivery for prescribed medications, heartworm/ flea preventatives, etc through VetCentric Pharmacy.
 
  Treatment Area
Our treatment area is the hub of activity for our hospital.  This is the area of our facility where most of the medical procedures are performed.  This area and adjoining room additionally houses our critical care unit where post-surgical and seriously ill patients are constantly monitored throughout the day.  After-hours, the most critical patients are taken to either Animal Emergency Clinic of Sandy Springs or GA Veterinary Specialist where veterinarians and trained personnel are available to closely monitor their progress around the clock.
 
Surgery
Our surgical suite is equipped for both routine and emergency operations.  We use an inhalant anesthesia, Isoflurane, one of the safest anesthetics available.  With the help of the pulse oximeter, respiratory, and cardiac monitors, our trained staff can keep a watchful eye over your pet during surgery. We also perform pre-operative bloodwork on all pets prior to any procedure requiring anesthesia.
